Meet The Gang
Creator & CoHost
Rose Medina, MSSW
Rose, Bastard-Child-of-the-East, was born and raised in NYC, a Nuyorican (Puerto Rican non-raised Ashkenazi), with a big mouth & many opinions. She began this Podcast to bring together both friends, strangers & people from around the world, to discuss issues with authenticity, laughter & respect. Sometimes not being Politically Correct.
As an overachiever, Rose attended both Columbia & Boston University proudly graduating with a solid D average. She worked as a Social Worker in NYC & LA but now is a stay-at-home-mom podcaster, whose kid is nowhere to be found (I think they moved out.) She’s been a devout Radical Feminist since 1983, when she learned the actual meaning of the word, had her first orgasm & thought she was going straight to hell!
Creator & CoHost
Leland Heflin, AA, LSD
Leland Heflin is an actor, model and comedian. She has performed her stand up at Flappers, The Comedy Store, Second City and The Pride Festivals. Her dramatic skills as an actor continue to grow with each commercial. Leland is also a host on the popular Los Angeles California radio program "American Conversation Podcast". She has also appeared in numerous music videos for artists such as Bjork, Iggy Azalea and progressive soul legend Seal!
Pay attention while she shares her under-educated, un-medicated, and unsolicited advice, on topics that you may or may not care about. With a chip on her shoulder, and the inability to stop herself. Listen In, while she and a group of Americans drink and argue current issues.
Halona Shaw, Life Coach, CSW
Halona is an entrepreneur, a professional life coach, an attorney (at large) and a Social Worker. Oh - and an ordained deacon. Obviously, she still hasn’t decided what she wants to be when she grows up (she is open to suggestions). All she knows is that the plight of mankind is in her hands. So, she started a CBD business called "Breakroom Company", #MeetUsInTheBreakroom! She wants to make sure our guests & listeners feel no pain!
She BIPOC - for the un - “woke” among you, that means “Black Indigenous Person of Color.” Amen to that! Is she a woman first? Or a POC first? Depends on the issue and her mood.
AACP wanted a Republican co-host but got something WAY better - an Angry Black Woman! She is a Yankee surviving in a Southern State - may God help us all!
No, #MeetUsInTheBreakroom then!

Alona comes to us from Ukraine. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in "Film and TV Directing." Despite her unfinished education, she has plenty of experience in this field, as it is her dream job to be a success in that arena. She has stated, “I am an Emotional Woman”, it is important for her to both receive feelings through her work and to translate those emotions to all the people in Ukraine and around the world.
Before the war, she worked for Starlight Media, one of the largest media groups in Ukraine, and is anticipating returning to that position. My purpose in life is to leave my mark on humanity and the world.
We welcome Alona to AACPodcast!
